Eat This Not That Vol 1

Summer is here and we’re all wanting to enjoy the fun treats that come along with summer - from iced coffee, to BBQs, to s’mores. And yet, we also want to look awesome in our bathing suits too. Is it possible to have both? Yes, if you play your cards right.

Today is the first in a series of “Eat This Not That” to help you navigate the foods of summer without blowing your physique.

This is one of my favorite summer treats that allows me to enjoy one of my favorite things…COFFEE!!!!…while not adding a ton of calories to my diet. And the best part about this is that not only is it lower in calories, fat and sugar but it is packed with muscle-building protein!

Instead of the Starbucks Frappy Hour and the amazing new treats on their menu, like S’Mores Frappucino, I like to eat my calories as opposed to drinking them. And these calories will do nothing for your body, except go straight to your waistline - or where fat’s favorite place on your body happens to be.

I like to make a full pot of coffee each morning. I drink half and refrigerate the

other half for later in the day. Pour your desired amount of coffee in a shaker, add 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (my personal favorite is SirenLabs Isolate in Chocolate or Vanilla), shake well. Add ice to a tumbler and pour coffee/protein drink on top. It’s absolutely delicious!

You’ll get the caffeine kick and the extra protein your body needs to be lean and mean. The protein will also help you fight off those sugar cravings we tend to get in the afternoons.
